Red Bull to Bring Action-Packed Event to Seminole County

Excitement is building for a high-energy thrill expected to draw thousands to Seminole County in September.

Altamonte Red Bull Event

Altamonte Springs was selected to be the first U.S. city to host Red Bull's Tandem Roller Coaster event. The water obstacle course, set at Cranes Roost Park, is expected to draw more than 30,000 spectators.

Standing alongside Professional Wakeboarder Guenther Oka, County Chairman Jay Zembower joined Altamonte Springs Mayor Pat Bates, Greater Orlando Sports Commission CEO Jason Siegel, Seminole County Tourism Division Manager Danny Trosset, and Seminole County Director of Economic Development and Tourism Gui Cunha to celebrate the opportunity.

About 40 teams will be chosen to design and build creative coasters that can cross the course without falling into the water. Teams will be judged on creativity, spirit, and time, with the highest-scoring team taking the win.

The event takes place on Saturday, September 27.
