Public Works Department Achieves Accreditation
Seminole County Public Works recently earned full accreditation from the American Public Works Association (APWA), marking a major achievement for the department.

The milestone was celebrated at the April 28 Board of County Commissioners meeting, where the APWA Regional Director presented the official letter of accreditation and a commemorative plaque to staff. In making history, Seminole County Public Works achieved accreditation in less than one year—one of the fastest transitions from application to accreditation for a public works agency.
This recognition from the internationally respected organization reflects the Department’s commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure and services while maintaining accountability, efficiency, and innovation for residents every day.
