Deer Run Community Park

The Seminole County Board of County Commissioners purchased the former Deer Run Golf Course property in December 2021. Seminole County Parks and Recreation (formerly Leisure Services) will develop the property into a passive park over the next several years, to include renovation of the clubhouse into a community center.

Updates

• December 2025
  • The design agreement for the Deer Run clubhouse was approved on November 18, and the design process is scheduled to begin in early 2026.
• January 2025
  • Crews have begun selective demolition of the clubhouse interior and pool deck.
  • New lighting is being installed at the clubhouse parking lot for safety and security.
• September 2024
  • Community members attended a public meeting at Sterling Park Elementary School on September 30, 2024.
