Education and Outreach

Seminole County’s Solid Waste Management Division is available for education and outreach events to encourage the community to “Keep Seminole County Beautiful.” Residents may request an appearance or education booth at an event, a drop-off of educational materials, or a scheduled presentation with a guest speaker. Outreach is available for classrooms, scout groups, community organizations, neighborhood associations, and more.

Events

The Solid Waste Management Division is available to set up educational tables and displays at community events. Examples include cleanups, environmental events, and “Touch-a-Truck” events. “BART”, the Big Awesome Recycling Trailer is available to haul recyclables away from community cleanup events.

Presentations

Virtual presentations are available for school groups, homeowners associations, and more. Topics include pollution control, recycling, and the Solid Waste Management Division’s work. Presentations will be tailored to suit your group’s needs.
