Irrigation Evaluations

Seminole County offers two free irrigation evaluations per year exclusively for Seminole County water utility customers to help reduce water bills and improve irrigation efficiency. Check to see if you are a Seminole County water utility customer by entering your address here and scrolling to the Water Provider line item.

A licensed Irrigation and Landscape Professional will schedule an evaluation at your home to review your irrigation system free of charge.

This free service includes:

  • Adjustments to Lower Water Use — Optimize water consumption and reduce unnecessary costs.
  • Irrigation Timer Optimization and Training — Set up and program your irrigation timer for maximum efficiency.
  • Broken Rain Sensor Replacement — During the evaluation, we’ll check your rain sensor for proper functionality and provide a free replacement if needed.
Did you know? The average lifetime of a rain sensor is roughly 2-3 years?

Complete the irrigation evaluation request form by clicking the button below or call 407-665-2121 for more information.

Why Evaluate Your Irrigation System?

  • Residential outdoor water use accounts for around 30 – 60% of total household water use for the average Florida homeowner.

  • The most common irrigation inefficiencies are caused by:

    1. Improperly set timers

    2. Lack of working rain shutoff device

    3. Leaks

    4. Irrigation where there should be none

How It Works

  • A licensed irrigation technician will arrive at your appointment and complete a visual and operational inspection of your irrigation system.

  • The technician will check your system's meter, timer, rain sensor and zones, and of course, check for any leaks.

  • Afterwards, they will provide a written report, along with a custom watering schedule and maintenance and design recommendations.

  • From there, the homeowner may correct the settings on their irrigation system or follow the recommended maintenance and design guidelines to save water and money.
